Education/Experience
1965 B.A. Keio Gijuku University, Tokyo, Japan
1967 Started Saganishiki weaving lessons
1982 Inspired by an exhibition of Michiko Masuda’s works, Kiriyo began studying under the tutelage of Ms. Masuda.
1985 After Ms. Masuda’s passing, Kiriyo began developing her own style of weaving
1989 Created original Kiriyo-Ori with new materials and design
1990 Produced original Kiriyo-Ori handbags with specially made lacquered frames
1990 Started teaching Saganishiki
1993 Appeared in April issue of Sofiaby Kodansha
1994 Appeared in May issue of Kateigahouby Shueisha
1999 Appeared in Spring issue of Japan Airline’s magazine, JAL Family Letter
1999 Appeared on an NHK production, Sutekini Konohitoto
2003 Appeared in Who’s Who in International Art
2007 Appeared on Kamakura Cable Television program
​2024 Became Fellow Member at Japan Contemporary Craft Art Exibition
